Wrexham are reportedly considering a move for Sheffield United’s experienced forward Kieffer Moore as they look to add proven Championship quality to their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The 32-year-old Wales international scored 6 goals in 30 appearances for the Blades last season, including 5 goals in 27 league games, as they narrowly missed out on promotion back to the Premier League via the play-offs.

Moore, who joined Sheffield United from Bournemouth in 2024 in a deal worth up to £5 million, still has two years remaining on his contract. However, with United exploring reshuffles up front and Moore turning 33 on the eve of the new season, there are suggestions the club may be open to offers.

Wrexham, now preparing for their first Championship season under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s ownership, have already secured the signings of Ryan Hardie, Danny Ward, George Thomason and Liberato Cacace, with Josh Windass also set to join. Moore is believed to be viewed by manager Phil Parkinson as a potential marquee striker option to lead the line.

Despite criticism at times last season, Moore remains a respected figure among teammates and coaches. Former United boss Chris Wilder previously called fan negativity “nonsense” and praised Moore’s tireless work rate.

With Wrexham boasting a growing list of forwards including Sam Smith, Ollie Palmer, Jack Marriott and Jay Rodriguez, any deal for Moore could hinge on outgoings. But the club’s ambition to establish themselves at Championship level means experienced additions like Moore remain firmly on the radar.

According to The Star, Wrexham are keeping a close eye on developments and could make a formal approach before the window closes.
