Charlton Athletic have identified Rob Apter as a summer transfer target following the winger’s standout season with Blackpool, according to Football Insider.
The 21-year-old featured in 46 of Blackpool’s 47 league games last season, notching 8 goals and 3 assists in a breakout campaign. Apter’s versatility across the right flank and in advanced midfield roles has attracted strong interest, with Nathan Jones reportedly keen to bring him to The Valley.
Despite Charlton’s promotion to the Championship, budget restrictions mean Jones will be targeting young, hungry players with scope to improve — a profile Apter fits perfectly.
However, Blackpool remain determined to keep hold of the Scotland U21 international. He’s under contract at Bloomfield Road until summer 2027, and Steve Bruce is said to be planning to build his promotion push around key figures like Apter.
Should a deal be pursued, the Addicks will likely need to put together a significant offer to tempt the Seasiders into negotiations.
