Brentford have shown early interest in Ipswich Town forward Omari Hutchinson, according to reports from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The 21-year-old winger, who starred for England U21s in their recent European Championship victory, is being viewed by the Premier League club as a potential long-term replacement for Bryan Mbeumo, who has been linked with Manchester United.

Hutchinson, who joined Ipswich on a permanent basis from Chelsea last summer in a £20 million deal, has a £35 million relegation release clause in his contract. While Town are keen to retain their young star, any club triggering that clause would be free to discuss terms with the player.

Interest is understood to be in its early stages, with no formal talks yet held between Brentford and Ipswich Town. However, Hutchinson’s strong showing in Slovakia has not gone unnoticed across Europe, with West Ham, Fulham, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig all previously linked.

With the player currently on extended leave following his U21 international exploits, the next few weeks could be decisive for his future.
