Wrexham have agreed a deal to sign Wales international striker Kieffer Moore from Sheffield United, with the 31-year-old set to undergo a medical ahead of a permanent move to the Racecourse Ground.
The transfer, worth a reported £2 million, continues Wrexham’s ambitious summer rebuild as they prepare for life back in the Championship. Moore is expected to become the club’s latest marquee arrival, following signings including Josh Windass, Ryan Hardie, Lewis O’Brien, and Conor Coady.
With over a decade of EFL experience and a proven track record at Championship level, Moore adds physical presence, aerial strength, and goal threat to Phil Parkinson’s forward options.
Championship-ready experience
Moore joined Sheffield United last summer and featured regularly during the 2024/25 campaign. While not a guaranteed starter, he contributed key minutes in a demanding season and remained a reliable target man off the bench or in rotation.
A full Wales international with 39 caps and 12 goals, Moore has also played for Cardiff, Bournemouth, Barnsley, Wigan, and Ipswich, accumulating more than 250 career league appearances.
His arrival gives Wrexham a strong focal point in attack and should ease the physical burden on Paul Mullin and Josh Windass across a long Championship season.
Another statement of intent
Wrexham’s summer activity underlines their intent not just to survive at this level, but to compete. The club’s owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney continue to back Parkinson with the resources required to bring in experienced, Championship-proven players.
Moore’s blend of physicality, aerial ability, and hold-up play makes him a tactical fit for Parkinson’s system, particularly in matches where control and presence in both boxes will be crucial.
With a medical now scheduled, Moore’s signing is expected to be formally confirmed in the coming days.
