Watford have completed a £5 million deal to sign Danish striker Luca Kjerrumgaard from Odense, with the move structured in collaboration with Udinese as part of the Pozzo group’s internal transfer model.

The 21-year-old will formally pass through Udinese before linking up with the Hornets, with medical tests scheduled for Sunday, 14 July.

Kjerrumgaard was one of the standout players in Denmark’s second tier last season, scoring 22 goals and adding 7 assists in 29 appearances, playing a key role in Odense’s promotion. A product of the club’s academy, this will be his first move abroad.

The 2003-born forward is viewed as a long-term attacking option at Vicarage Road as Watford continue to strengthen for a promotion push in 2025/26.

The structure of the move reflects the Pozzo ownership group’s approach to player development and placement, with coordinated transfers between Watford and Udinese.
