It’s been a busy 24 hours at Kenilworth Road as Luton Town have confirmed a trio of eye-catching additions ahead of the 2024/25 season.

🔷 Nigel Lonwijk (Loan from Wolves)

Dutch centre-back Nigel Lonwijk, 22, joins the Hatters on a season-long loan from Wolves, with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

Standing at 6ft 5in, Lonwijk is no stranger to success in League One — winning the title with Plymouth in 2022/23 and impressing for Huddersfield last season before a hamstring injury ended his campaign early.

He previously played under Matt Bloomfield at Wycombe, where he scored twice in nine games during a strong end to the 2023/24 season.

“He’s got incredible athleticism, good on the ball and can play anywhere across the back line. We’re delighted to bring him back into the group.”

🔷 Nahki Wells (Free agent)

Veteran striker Nahki Wells, 35, signs on a free after leaving Bristol City. With 174 goals in English football and a proven record at Championship and League One level, Wells brings experience, leadership, and a consistent goal threat.

🔷 Hakeem Odoffin (Free agent)

The versatile 27-year-old joins from Rotherham United after captaining the Millers and winning both the Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Season awards. Comfortable at centre-back, right-back or midfield, Odoffin made 140 appearances for Rotherham, scoring 16 times.

All three signings strengthen key areas of the pitch as Luton prepare for what promises to be a competitive season in League One.
