Oxford United have completed the signing of Brodie Spencer from Huddersfield Town on a permanent deal.
The 21-year-old arrives at the Kassam Stadium with a wealth of experience for his age, having already been capped 17 times by Northern Ireland and made close to 100 senior appearances across the Championship, League One, and the Scottish Premiership.
Spencer made his senior debut for Huddersfield in November 2022 after joining the club from Cliftonville in 2020. He went on to make 62 appearances for the Terriers and spent time on loan at Motherwell, where he featured 18 times.
Comfortable across the defensive line, Spencer adds versatility to Gary Rowett’s squad and becomes United’s latest addition ahead of their return to the Championship.
The deal follows significant interest from other clubs at this level, but Spencer chose Oxford as the place to continue his development and prove himself in the second tier.
