Derby County have completed the signing of United States international striker Patrick Agyemang from Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC.

The 24-year-old joins the Rams on a four-year deal until the summer of 2029 for an undisclosed fee, becoming the club’s fifth signing of the summer as Head Coach John Eustace builds his squad for the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Agyemang scored 10 goals during the 2024 MLS season to help Charlotte reach the Play-Offs, and followed that with 8 goals and 2 assists in 18 matches during the first half of the 2025 campaign. His form earned him a call-up to Mauricio Pochettino’s United States national team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, where he scored twice, taking his international tally to 5 goals in 12 appearances.

Despite managing a hernia injury throughout the MLS season, the striker continued to perform. Derby have now confirmed he will undergo routine surgery, ruling him out of the opening weeks of the 2025/26 Championship season.
