Barnet FC have officially completed the signing of experienced midfielder Dennis Adeniran on a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old brings top-level pedigree to The Hive, returning to his London roots after a career that’s taken him across the EFL, Europe, and beyond.
Adeniran began his professional journey with Premier League sides Fulham and Everton, gaining valuable senior experience during a loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers. He later made a significant impact at Sheffield Wednesday, playing a key role in their League One promotion campaign and scoring five goals in the process.
His career then took him abroad, with spells at Portimonense in Portugal’s Primeira Liga and Hapoel Petah Tikva in Israel, before returning to the UK most recently with Scottish Premiership side St. Mirren.
Now back in London, Adeniran is looking to play a central role in Barnet’s push for promotion from the National League.
“I’m a box-to-box number 8 – energetic, determined, good with the ball, and I like to chip in with goals,” he told club media.
“The gaffer’s playing style really suits me, and I’m buzzing to get going. My ambition is to play as many games as possible and help the club win promotion again.”
Dean Brennan called the new arrival a “high-class player” with an “excellent football brain” and says the addition of vital EFL experience is a statement of intent from the club.
The move remains subject to FA, EFL, and international clearance.
