Cardiff City have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Nathan Trott on a season-long loan from Danish side FC Copenhagen.
The 26-year-old becomes new head coach Brian Barry-Murphy’s first signing at the helm and will provide strong competition between the sticks ahead of the 2025/26 League One campaign.
Trott arrives at the Cardiff City Stadium with EFL and European experience, having played in England, France, and Denmark. He is expected to be in contention for Thursday’s fixture against Port Vale.
A Globally-Groomed Shot-Stopper
Born in Bermuda, Trott started his youth career with Valencia before joining West Ham United in 2016. He gained senior experience through loan spells at AFC Wimbledon, AS Nancy and Vejle BK before earning a permanent move to FC Copenhagen in 2024.
He featured 17 times for the Danish Superliga side last season, including appearances in domestic and European competitions.
