Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of right-back Ryan Alebiosu from Belgian side KV Kortrijk for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old defender has agreed a three-year contract at Ewood Park, running until June 2028, with the option of a further 12 months. Alebiosu becomes Rovers’ third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Dion De Neve and Moussa Baradji.
Alebiosu came through the ranks at Arsenal, spending over a decade at the club and signing his first professional deal in 2020. He gained senior experience on loan at Crewe Alexandra and later Kilmarnock, where he made 29 appearances in the 2022/23 season.
After a permanent move to Kortrijk in September 2023, Alebiosu made 25 appearances in Belgium’s top flight before returning to Scotland for a loan spell with St Mirren earlier this year.
A modern full-back known for combining defensive discipline with attacking energy, Alebiosu now returns to English football and will link up with his new teammates ahead of this weekend’s friendly against Accrington Stanley.
Rovers are currently awaiting international clearance and final approval from the relevant football authorities before the deal is fully ratified.
