Portsmouth are on the verge of sealing what could be their seventh signing of the summer, with central defender Josh Knight poised to join from Hannover 96.
The 27-year-old, who turned down a new deal at Peterborough to spend last season in Germany’s second tier, is the latest name on Pompey’s list of defensive reinforcements. Despite limited game time this season for Hannover, manager Neal Ardley appears confident a deal can be struck soon.
Knight brings Bundesliga 2 experience and versatility to Fratton Park, capable of slotting right into Pompey’s back line alongside key defenders Regan Poole, Conor Shaughnessy, Hayden Matthews, and Ibou Bowat.
