Rotherham United have completed the signing of young defender Lenny Agbaire from Celtic for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old has penned a deal at the AESSEAL New York Stadium until the summer of 2028, subject to EFL and FA ratification as well as international clearance.
Agbaire spent almost a decade with Celtic, joining their youth system at age 10 in August 2015. He became a regular for Celtic’s B side, notably playing a key role in their Scottish FA Youth Cup triumph.
Last season, Agbaire gained valuable senior experience on loan at Ayr United, making 16 appearances and helping the side reach the Scottish Championship play-offs.
Agbaire joins Matt Hamshaw’s side immediately and could feature for the first time tonight in the Millers’ friendly against Harrogate Town.
